Hudson mother charged with leaving child home alone

HUDSON -- Police arrested a mother on Saturday after she allegedly left her 6-year-old child home alone.
State Police said they responded after the girl called 911 and said that she was home alone and scared.  When Troopers and Hudson Police Department officers arrived, they determined that the child had been left home alone for several hours and Columbia County Child Protective Services were contacted.
State Police said that they located the child's mother, 27-year-old Limika Walls, after several hours and in an impaired condition.  She was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  State Police said that during processing, Walls was uncooperative and was charged with 2nd Degree obstruction of Government Administration.
Wells was arraigned in Hudson City Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail.  She is set to return to court on January 28.  The child is still in the care of Columbia County Child Protective Services.
