Man charged for animal cruelty in Washington Co.

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- A Glens Falls man is facing 13 counts of animal cruelty following a gruesome discovery at the Shushan home he rented.

Police say Neil Jordon, 44, had 11 dogs inside the home at County Route 64-A. They say the animals didn't have proper food and water and were living in deplorable conditions. Investigators also say two rabbits died due to the conditions.

Jordon is also charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, he had children at the residence with no working heat and was storing dead animals in the freezer with the children's food.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, and more charges could be coming.
