Low pressure will quickly develop and move south of the New England coast through Wednesday night as colder air arrives to produce a moderate to heavy snow storm for much of the region.  Snow will develop quickly Wednesday morning a fall heavily at times through the afternoon and evening before tapering off and ending before daybreak on Thursday.  Expect difficult travel conditions with snow packed roads and low visibility through the duration of this storm.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Kingston man indicted in beating

KINGSTON, N.Y. (AP) -- A grand jury has handed up an indictment against a 20-year-old Hudson Valley man accused of tying up a woman and beating her repeatedly while in the presence of a child.

Local media outlets report that Quashawn Thomas of Kingston is facing several charges, including assault, imprisonment, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child for the November attack.

Kingston police say Thomas bound and gagged the woman, hit her in the head with a glass vase and burned her with a hot knife, some of which happened in the presence of a 3-year-old child.

Despite a threat from Thomas, police say the woman eventually escaped, ran to a neighbor's house and called police.

Officials say the victim had an order of protection against Thomas.
