Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Schenectady man found guilty in stabbing case

SCHENECTADY -- A Schenectady man is found guilty of attempted murder after stabbing an unarmed man multiple times during a fight.

The verdict was handed down on Thursday. The defendant, Sean Gaillard is also charged with assault. Police say he knew the victim that he stabbed five times during a dispute in Yates Village last March.

Gaillard faces a maximum 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on March 10.
