Woman allegedly shot Troy man

TROY -- A 22-year-old woman is in custody after police say she shot a Troy man.

Police were called to the corner of Fourth and Ferry Streets around 11:30 on Monday night Monday night for reports of shots fired. There, they found Rayshawn Williams, 24, with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses of the shooting told authorities the shooter was in a light-colored SUV. Police found a vehicle matching that description. When they approached the SUV, a woman took off running. Officials were able to take her into custody and identified her as Dalila Gonzalez. Authorities say they found the handgun used to to shoot Williams under the front seat of the SUV.

Gonzalez will be arraigned on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder and first degree assault.
