Donations being accepted in memory of fallen Trooper

ALBANY -- Officials have set up multiple ways for people to contribute funds in memory of State Police Trooper David Cunniff, who was killed following an accident on the Thruway.

The family of Trooper Cunniff is asking for contributions to be made to the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, at 925 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, or online at www.curesma.org. According to State Police, one of Trooper Cunniff's goals and promises to his sons, was a treatment and cure for the disease.

A fund has also been set up for the family of Trooper Cunniff.

Donations can be made to the fund via the Signal 30 Benefit Fund. You can mail donations to 120 State Street, Second Floor, Albany, NY 12207 or donate online at www.signal30.org. All donations should note that it is for "The Family of David Cunniff."
