18 years for woman who ran over 6 people in SUV

ALBANY A woman found guilty of mowing her car into a group of people after a heated argument has learned her fate.

Shanikqua Thomas was sentenced to 18 years in prison in Albany County Court Thursday morning.

Back in October she pleaded guilty to three counts of assault .
Thomas admitted to jumping in the drivers seat of her SUV, while arguing with people people on Elk Street last August.

It was then, during that fight, that she put the truck in reverse and hit six women, three of them suffering serious injuries.
