Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Fire Chief to retire

ALBANY -- Another long-time Albany official says he will be giving up his post.

Albany Fire Chief Robert Forezzi announced on Monday that he is retiring. He spent several years as the chief, and several decades with the Albany Fire Department.

Forezzi is set to retire on January 1. There is no word yet on who will be replacing him.
