A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

New Leader for Schenectady School

SCHENECTADY - A change in leadership at a Schenectady school with a troubled history.

District officials have announced a new acting principal for Mont Pleasant middle school.

Former high school house principal Peg Nomandin started her new assignment today.  She takes the job on a temporary basis, filling in for principal Karmen McEvoy, who is on an extended medical leave.

In the past 2 years, there have been several different faces behind the principal's desk at Mont Pleasant.

Superintendent Larry Spring says while it's important to have some consistency in leadership, the recent changes have been out of their control.

Mont Pleasant has been in the news recently, thanks to some unruly students and even a fight club.

Normandin is currently on leave from the high school and Spring expects her to be at Mont Pleasant at least through the end of the school year.
