Local high school increases security after threat

CRARYVILLE -- Taconic High School stepped up security on Monday.

The move came after a social media post last week mentioned a threat to a sporting event on Monday night. The school says the extra security is a precautionary measure in the wake of recent incidents across the country.

We just want to take all the precautions necessary, says Taconic Superintendent, Neil Howard. Colorado is still very much in peoples minds as well as the anniversary of the other incidents in other schools. We want to be sure we are taking all the steps for our staff and our students.
