Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Pedestrian dies after struck by car in Saugerties

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (AP) -- The Ulster County Sheriff's Office says a 67-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle as he crossed Route 9W.

The sheriff's office says Patrick Poliseno of Saugerties was hit as he crossed the highway near the Route 32 intersection in Saugerties shortly after 5 p.m. Monday.

Poliseno was treated at the scene before being flown by helicopter to Albany Medical Center, where he later died.

No charges have been filed against the driver, 55-year-old Peter Gage of Saugerties. The sheriff's office and state police are investigating.
