NBA fan may not be able to keep half-court prize

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder paid two $20,000 prizes for fans making half-court shots, but now one of them may not be able to keep his winnings.

Cameron Rodriguez is a student and basketball player at nearby Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. Due to National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics rules, he's not allowed to profit from his athletic ability.

Rodriguez and the school are asking for an exception that would allow him to pay for his tuition. According to Bloomberg News, if denied, MidFirst bank has offered to donate the money to a charity of his choice.
