Glens Falls to host Special Olympic Fall Games

GLENS FALLS - Glens Falls is once again the winning bid for the Special Olympics.

The fall games are one of three annual state games and a part of the 5,200 total competitions held all over New York State.

Glens Falls also hosted the event in 2011 and 2012.

Special Olympics New York provides year-round sports training and athletics competition for over 61,000 children and adults with disabilities in a variety of Olympic-style sports.

The State Fall Games schedule has a list of events scheduled including cross country, golf, soccer and softball.

"We are excited to be returning to Glens Falls for our State Games," stated Neal Johnson, president & CEO of Special Olympics New York. "Glens Falls is a great community, we are happy to continue this fantastic partnership."
