Stillwater youths charged with burglary, criminal mischief

STILLWATER -- Two juveniles were charged with burglary and criminal mischief after an investigation into damage at a Stillwater home.
Police said that the two youths, ages 10 and 9, caused nearly $9,000 in damage after they allegedly broke in, ran a tractor until it became disabled in a field, and filled the fuel tanks of vehicles with oil, antifreeze, and water.  Police said that they spray painted a number of vehicles on the property, and damaged a boat by hitting it with an axe.
The case was referred to Saratoga County Family Court, and the pair are facing charges equivalent to 3rd Degree Burglary and 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief.  They were released to the custody of their parents.
