15 years for man in Rotterdam arson attempt
ROTTERDAM - The man who pleaded guilty to arson charges and criminal possession of a weapon was sentenced Thursday.
Larry Ahrens was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was told by the judge to remove a t-shirt that showed a stop sign and the word "snitching" on the front and "snitches get stiches" on the back when he showed up to court.
Police say Ahrens recruited three people and paid them to throw explosive devices at the boyfriend of his ex-girlfriends home in Rotterdam.
In 2012 Ahern was arrested after a two month investigation.
As part of the plea he will have to pay $20,000 in Restitution.
