Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. 2 DWI arrests in Schoharie County

RICHMONDVILLE / Middleburgh -- State Police made two arrests for drunk driving over the weekend.

Troopers pulled 39-year-old Robert Lamont of Middleburgh was pulled over for doing 78 in a 55 on State Route 145 in Middleburgh. State Police say Lamont registered a blood alcohol content of .13%. He will return to court on September 11th.

40-year-old Peter Provenzano of Westford was pulled over on State Route 7 in Richmondville for swerving out of his lane, according to State Police. A B.A.C. was unavailable for Provenzano but he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and will appear in court on September 18th.
