Vt.'s Calvin Coolidge site to host cheese festival
PLYMOUTH, Vt. (AP) -- Vermont-made cheese will be celebrated during an annual festival at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth.
The Plymouth Cheese and Harvest Festival, held since 1997, is being held Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will feature wagon rides, traditional craft demonstrations, special presentations, seasonal culinary treats and other family activities.
The Coolidge historic site was once the family home of former President Calvin Coolidge, who was sworn in to the presidency there in 1923 by his father, a notary public, after the death of President Warren Harding.
