Police: Man violates order of protection shortly after arrest

CLIFTON PARK - A Halfmoon man was charged with violating an order of protection shortly after posting bail on another set of charges.

On Tuesday, State Police arrested David Brendese, 41, of 49 Manchester Drive and charged him with felony strangulation and criminal contempt after an incident back on September 12.

At Brendese's arraignment in the Town of Halfmoon, the judge issued an order of protection barring him from going back to the residence.

He was then released on $25,000 bail.  After his release police followed him and witnessed him entering the same residence the judge barred from returning to.

Brendese was arrested again and charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt.  He was arraigned a second time in front of the same judge in the Town of Halfmoon Court and released on $1,000 bond.

He is due back in court in October.
