Crash tests show details on pedestrian accidents
ALBANY - State Police and investigators were on hand to demonstrate a simulation of what happens in an accident with pedestrians and vehicles.
The crash test simulations held on Thursday showed what happens during a collision with a person walking, running or standing alongside a roadway.
This training helps investigators learn more about evidence collection involving shoes, clothes, or how a bone breaks. They then can learn details about the crash through reconstruction.
Since 2010, the New York State Police have assisted, reconstructed and or investigated hundreds of pedestrian or bicyclist involved crashes.
