Snow and Gusty Wind Today - Poor Travel Conditions Expected

A Nor'easter  is expected to impact the region today, but the impact around the Capital Region looks to be on the lighter side, as the storm takes a more Easterly track. Snow will become steadier from SE to NW this morning, with snowfall of varying intensity through this afternoon and evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 15-20 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions at times through late tonight. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 2-6" are expected, with higher amounts across western New England.

Troy Middle School grand re-opening following a two-years of construction

TROY -- The Enlarged City School District of Troy is celebrating the completion of this $56.2 million renovation to what was formerly called Doyle Middle School.
Originally built in 1976, the 198,000-square-foot, two-story building has been completely remodeled and refurbished to improve student learning and safety and to foster greater community.  Pathways have been reconfigured to provide clear lines of sight for ease of supervision and "small learning communities" were designed to foster collaborative teaching and community among students, staff and faculty.
