New project looking to keep Lake George clean

LAKE GEORGE -- Their goal is to keep the waters of Lake George some of the cleanest in the country.
On Tuesday, New York Secretary of State Cesar Perales led a team of partners in commissioning an advanced storm water treatment project.  They are looking at ways to collect and treat storm water runoff so it doesn't directly enter the lake.  Perales said the project doesn't just project an important part of the North Country - it protects an important part of New York State.
The group also unveiled plans for further development of the Charles R. Wood Environmental Park, which helps filter runoff from Route 9 before entering the lake.
