Significant Winter Storm Possible From Monday Night Through Tuesday

An area of low pressure will track to our south through Monday.  Some light snow should develop through Monday afternoon and evening as a result.  The low pressure will then rapidly intensify off of the Northeast coast Monday night and Tuesday.  Uncertainty remains as to the exact track of this low pressure, but if it tracks close enough to the coast, portions of the area could see a significant snowfall.

Albany cooling stations open

ALBANY -- The city of Albany will be providing residents with several locations to obtain relief from the intense heat blanketing the area.

These "cooling stations" will be open to the public from 11am until 7pm starting on Tuesday, July 16th through Friday, July 19th:

1.    Giffen Elementary School-
274 South Pearl Street

2.    North Albany Academy-
570 North Pearl Street

3.    Schuyler Academy-
676 Clinton Avenue

4.    Delaware Avenue Library-
331 Delaware Ave

5.    New Scotland Library-
455 New Scotland Ave

The city's two main swimming pools at Lincoln Park and Mater Christi, and 6 spray pools will be open as scheduled.
