The Bottom Line: Pinterest Scam
ALBANY -- A Bottom Line Alert that's of great interest, for users of Pinterest.
The Better Business Bureau says a new phishing scam is targeting the popular website's millions of users.
The agency says if you have a Pinterest account, you might receive an e-mail saying you've had a successful password reset.
That e-mail will contain a link, that reportedly takes you to a compromised website.
But remember this: Pinterest will never send an e-mail asking you for log-in information, or other personal information about your account.
If you use Pinterest and you get that e-mail, don't reply to it, don't click on anything, and be sure to delete the e-mail immediately.
