Police: Body found in vacant lot is missing Schenectady woman

SCHENECTADY -- Schenectady Police have identified a body found in a vacant lot as that of Mary Wright, an elderly woman reported missing more than a week ago.
According to investigators, the body was found around 2 p.m. Sunday in a wooded lot on Albany Street in the city. Police went to the scene after neighbors reported a foul odor in the area.
An autopsy determined the identity, but could not determine a cause or time of death. McCracken said it doesn't appear that any foul play was involved.
Wright was 68-years-old and had Alzheimer's disease. She was last seen just after midnight on June 28.
