Commerce Secretary visits Capital Region

ALBANY -- A member of President Obama's cabinet was in the Capital Region on Tuesday, getting a firsthand look at the world of nanotechnology.
US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker toured the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering.  She spent some time with high school students from Girls Inc. in Albany who are taking classes there, and also got look at the kind of work that has put the school and the region on the nanotechnology map.  She said it is a model for the kind of work that the US needs to do to remain innovative and competitive.
Pritzker has been on the job for more than a month.  This was the second stop on what she calls a nationwide listening tour.
