Man struck by lightning in Hudson Valley

ANCRAM (AP) -- A 26-year-old man has been injured by lightning in the Hudson Valley.
State parks department Randy Simons says the Millbrook man was at Lake Taghkanic State Park in Ancram when lightning hit a tree near where he was standing, the charge knocked him down and he went into cardiac arrest.
He says lifeguards resuscitated the man and he's been taken to a hospital.
The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday as strong thunderstorms rolled through the mid-Hudson Valley.
Ancram is in Columbia County, 43 miles south of Albany.
