Lane Closures at Latham Circle

WRGB Staff

LATHAM -- The New York State Department of Transportation is advising drivers that Route 9 will be closed to traffic underneath the Latham Circle.

The closure will accommodate demolition of a section of bridges as part of the ongoing work in the area.

Route 9 will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., for approximately five nights, beginning Thursday night.

Traffic will be detoured into the Circle.

Tractor trailers are still not allowed through the work zone and continue to be detoured along a signed route.

Lane restrictions during this stage of work are more narrow than in previous weeks and do not leave enough room for tractor trailers to travel through the Circle.

Trucks that do not use the detour may become stuck and may be ticketed.

Trucks making local deliveries will be able to use the Circle.
