Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. 1 dead, 1 injured in accidental fall

ALBANY - A man is killed in a fall after moving furniture.

Albany Police say two men fell while carrying a piece of furniture to a second floor apartment Friday night on Myrtle Avenue at around 7:00 in the back of the building.

26-year-old Christopher Rueda was found with serious injuries

Both men were rushed to Albany Medical Center, Rueda was pounced dead at the hospital 

The second 26-year-old man, whose name is not being released, is in stable condition.
