Cops: Woman beat with metal broom handle

LAKE GEORGE -- A Lake George woman is facing felony assault charges for allegedly beating her roommate with a metal broom handle.
The Warren County Sheriff's Office said the incident happened at 62 Stone Schoohouse Road in Lake George.
Investigators responded to the home for a report of a domestic violence incident. When deputies arrived, they found the 48-year-old victim with a serious cut and multiple bruises on her body.
The Sheriff's Department says 24-year-old Ellen Marie Finn hit the woman, who she lived with at the 62 Stone Schoohouse Road home, repeatedly with the metal handle of a broom.
Deputies picked Finn up a few blocks from the home. She's been charged with felony assault and aggravated criminal contempt.
