Flood Warning: Mohawk river in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY - The Schenectady Police Department is advising residents that the Mohawk River is expected to crest at around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning.

The river is expected to enter the flood stage sometime overnight into Friday.

Police are going door to door, to warn residents on Ingersol Avenue, North Street, and Ferry Street.

The current water level prediction is 224 feet; police say if the water reaches that level, three to six houses up from the river could see flooding.
