Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. Woman arrested for driving drunk in Queensbury

QUEENSBURY -- The Warren County Sheriff's office arrested a Queensbury woman for driving drunk behind the wheel.

Investigators say 46-year-old Brenda Birsett was pulled over for crossing out of both sides of her lane while on Moon Hill Road near Bay Road in Queensbury just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

Deputies say she had a blood alcohol content of .18% -- more than twice the legal limit.  She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
