Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Overnight shooting in Albany

ALBANY - Albany Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on First Street at around 2:30 Thursday morning.

Police say that a 43-year-old man was shot by someone he didn't know while he slept on his couch in his apartment in the 500 block of First Street.  Police believe that several shots were fired through a window from outside the apartment, hitting the victim 3 times.

The man was treated and sent to Albany Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police at 462-8039.


ALBANY -- Albany Police are still looking for whoever shot a man early Thursday morning in West Hill. 
It happened around 2:30 a.m. at 511 First Street. 
Investigators say one man was shot and taken to Albany Medical Center. 
No word yet on his condition or any possible suspects.
