Court rules Raucci to stay in prison

ALBANY - The appellate division of the State Supreme Court upheld the charges against Steven Raucci.

The former facilities director of the Schenectady City School District was convicted in 2010 of using explosive devices and other bullying tactics to intimidate these he perceived as enemies.

Raucci's attorney says the convictions should be tossed out due to lack of evidence and a defective indictment.  The court ruled that the convictions will stand.

Raucci will continue to serve the 23 years to life sentence at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora.
