County Exe. Dan McCoy wants Hoffman's to stay

LATHAM - If the Albany County Executive has his way, a landmark amusement park will stay.

County Executive Dan McCoy says he wants to team up with the owners and find a buyer that would agree to keep the amusement park operating.

The Hoffmans have said the property is more valuable than the business, meaning this season could be the park's last.

McCoy says the county could become a partner with a new owner, but lacks the resources to run it as a municipal operation.
