There remains considerable uncertainty in the track and intensity of an anticipated coastal storm from Wednesday afternoon through early Thanksgiving morning, but confidence is increasing for a storm to bring accumulating snow to much of the region which would cause travel difficulty.  Details on amounts and timing will become more clear over the next twelve to twenty four hours.  Keep up to date on the forecast.

Man tries to flee after being pulled over

GLENS FALLS -- After trying to flee from officers on foot, a man was arrested for driving drunk on his motorcycle.

Around 7:35 pm on Friday, a Warren County Sheriff's Patrol saw a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Luzerne Road in the town of Queensbury.  The Sheriff's Patrol attempted to pull over the motorcycle on South Western Avenue.  The driver, Scott LaPointe, 23 of Queensbury, abandoned his motorcycle in the area of Pruyn's Island in the city of Glens Falls and attempted to flee on foot.

LaPointe was arrested and charged with the felony of aggravated unlicensed operation and the misdemeanors of driving while intoxicated and unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.  He was also charged with several traffic infractions.  A breath test showed that LaPointe had a blood alcohol content of .12%.  He was released after posting bail.
