Weather Alert

There remains considerable uncertainty in the track and intensity of an anticipated coastal storm from Wednesday afternoon through early Thanksgiving morning, but confidence is increasing for a storm to bring accumulating snow to much of the region which would cause travel difficulty.  Details on amounts and timing will become more clear over the next twelve to twenty four hours.  Keep up to date on the forecast.

Lane reopens but floods causing Thruway woes in Montgomery, Herkimer County

CANAJOHARIE -- Both lanes of the New York State Thruway are open again on the eastbound side on a stretch along the Mohawk River.
The state Thruway Authority says Friday morning that it temporarily shut down the right lane between Exits 29a and 30, from Little Falls to Herkimer. It reopened about 10 a.m.
That stretch of I-90 runs along the Mohawk River, which has overflowed its banks in some areas Friday morning after heavy rain storms soaked the region.
No accidents have been reported.
