Snow will fall at a modeate to heavy clip through the afternoon and evening with snowfall rates of 1" per hour or more at times.  This will cause rapid accumulations coupled with significantly reduced visibility to produce widespread difficult travel conditions through the evening.  Snow will begin breaking up late tonight with the storm pulling out between 1am and 4am Thursday. Motorcycle crash on New Karner Road

COLONIE -- On Friday at 7:20pm the Colonie Police Department responded to a crash on Route 155 near K-Mart. 

A 2001 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Osayuwa Omorogbe, 20 of Colonie, failed to yield the right of way while entering New Karner Road from the store parking lot.  Omorogbe crossed in front of and crashed into a 2010 Honda motorcycle driven by 24 year old Michael Ackerly of Scotia. 

Omorogbe was not injured in the crash but Ackerly was transported to Albany Medical Center where he was treated for a broken arm and a concussion.  Tresa Paris, 22 years of age of Colonie, was a passenger on the motorcycle but was not injured in the crash. 

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information regarding it is asked to contact the Colonie Police Traffic Safety Unit at 783-2744.
