POTENTIAL WINTER STORM WEDNESDAY INTO THANKGIVING

There remains considerable uncertainty in the track and intensity of an anticipated coastal storm from Wednesday afternoon through early Thanksgiving morning, but confidence is increasing for a storm to bring accumulating snow to much of the region which would cause travel difficulty.  Details on amounts and timing will become more clear over the next twelve to twenty four hours.  Keep up to date on the forecast.

2013 Tulip Queen finalists announced

ALBANY -- Judges have narrowed down the finalists in this year's race for Albany Tulip Queen.
Mayor Jerry Jennings says the city received about 70 nominations.
Based on interviews, twelve semi-finalists were picked to attend the Tulip Tea.
But after a final interview, only five were left in the running.
Here are this year's finalists:
18-year-old Kate Bender of Slingerlands, a Business major at Siena College.
19-year-old Meghan Cahill of Albany, a Social Work major at the College of Saint Rose.
21-year-old Gigi Diffenback of Albany, A Childhood Education major at the College of Saint Rose.
21-year-old Fendi Munoz of Albany, a Sociology major at UAlbany.
22-year-old Alexis Osbourne of Watervliet, a Saint John's University Law Studies graduate.
