TROY - Vandalism has appeared in six places in the downtown area of Troy.

Troy Detectives are investigating six cases of "tagging" around the City of Troy. Officials say graffiti was painted near the recently unveiled Uncle Sam statues in the downtown area. Once caught, detectives say the vandals are facing criminal charges including criminal mischief and making graffiti.

The investigation is ongoing.
