HALFMOON - A Schenectady man will spend up to three years in prison for a drunk driving crash that left one person seriously injured last year.

26-year-old Anton Hawkins was sentenced Thursday in Saratoga County Court after pleading guilty to vehicular assault back in March.

Police say Hawkins was drunk and driving at speeds of up to 140 miles per hour on I-87, just North of the twin bridges in Halfmoon back on November 24.

He lost control of the car, and it flipped, rolled over and ended up on its roof. One passenger was ejected from during the crash and received serious injuries.

Police during the investigation found that Hawkins had recorded footage of the speedometer to his Camry, showing his speed at 140 MPH.

Two others received minor injuries.
