State Police identify body pulled from Hudson River plane crash

GERMANTOWN - State Police have confirmed the identity of the pilot whose plane crashed into the Hudson River Thursday afternoon.

Police say the body is pilot and plane owner, Michael Braunstien of Copake, age 72.

Divers located his body in a debris field in about 20 feet of water in the Hudson River.

The body has been identified and has been removed the scene, and an autopsy to determine the cause of death is pending.

The investigation is continuing.
