Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Another manhole cover explosion in Albany

ALBANY -- Another manhole cover was blown out in downtown Albany.
It happened at the intersection of Eagle Street and Madison Avenue around 11:30 a.m.
According to National Grid, smoke caused by a secondary cable caused pressure to build up and dislodge the cover. The wire has since been replaced by National Grid.
No one was injured.
