Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. 15, 16-year-old girls hit by car; Cops search for vehicle

HALFMOON -- Saratoga County Sheriffs' is looking for a white sedan that drove off after hitting two teenagers early Saturday morning.

Two girls, ages 15 and 16, were standing on the shoulder in front of 974 Hudson River Road in Halfmoon when they were struck by a white sedan, possibly a late model Honda Civic. The vehicle continued down the road without stopping.

The two teens were transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Troy for minor injuries.

Later that morning officers arrested Jarryd Kelsey, 19 of that same residence, for a reported underage party where he served alcohol. He was released with a ticket to appear in court on April 25.

The suspect vehicle should have damage to the front end and passenger side mirror. Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 518-885-6761
