Brothers sought in brutal Johnstown stabbing, robbery

JOHNSTOWN -- Police need your help to track down two men wanted in connection with a brutal burglary.
Johnstown Police say three men entered an apartment at 34 South Melcher Street Sunday night.
One of them took a safe and began to take off with it when the alleged burglars clashed with the residents.
During the scuffle, an 18-year-old man was stabbed four times with a knife.
20-year-old Jared-Corey Maye of Amsterdam was charged with Burglary, Assault and Petit Larceny.
46-year-old Michael Rote of Broadalbin was charged with Burglary and Petit Larceny.
Johnstown Police say they are still looking for two other suspects.
19-year-old Robert Guist, also known as "Gage Guist" was last known to be hiding out in the Broadalbin area.
18-Year-old Joshua Guist is known to hang out in the Johnstown/Gloversville area.
Both have relatives in Amsterdam.
