2 stabbed after kids basketball game in Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM (AP/CBS6) -- Amsterdam Police say an argument between two children playing basketball in Amsterdam led to two adults being stabbed and three women charged with gang assault.
According to Amsterdam Police, an argument broke out between two kids during a basketball game late Sunday afternoon.

Soon after the game, a group of women showed up at a home on 106 Woodrow Road and got into an argument with a man and a woman.

All the adults involved somehow knew the children who were playing at the basketball game, but their relationship with the children and what the argument was about is unknown at this time.

Amsterdam Police first got the first 911 call around 5 p.m. that there was an argument going on at that address. Shortly after, they received another 911 call that a man and a woman had been stabbed. Both victims were stabbed in the chest and stomach and taken to Albany Med. They are expected to survive their injuries.
The alleged attackers fled the scene, but were picked up by police shortly after.
