Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Fire in Rotterdam leaves 3 homeless

WRGB Staff

ROTTERDAM -- Three people are homeless after a fire ripped through their house in Rotterdam.

Crews arrived at 3055 Guilderland Avenue to find the house fully engulfed by flames just after 11:30 Monday night.

All three of them managed to escape unharmed.

Several departments responded to the fire.

The cause is under investigation but officals say it doesn't appear to be suspicious.
