Fact Finder: Social host law

According to the Social Host Law, if you are an adult who hosts an underage drinking party -- you are held accountable.

Many counties in New York State abide by it, but our fact finders discovered it's not a state-wide law.

That puts New York in the minority.

New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont and Pennsylvania all have state-wide social host laws in place.

In New York it's county by county and the rules change based on where you go.

County leaders told CBS6 Friday that they're pushing for a state-wide ban.
