Pataki chosen to head up tax task force
ALBANY - Two New York politicians were picked by the governor to help the state cut taxes!
Governor Cuomo today chose former governor George Pataki to head up a task force thats charged with saving taxpayers two to three billion dollars. He will be joined by former state controller Carl McCall.
The governor wants this commission to figure out a way to bring tax relief to New Yorkers with a primary focus on property taxes.
It is thought this tax-cutting task force will help Cuomo in his reelection bid next year and that adding Pataki to the team might get the Cuomo more votes upstate.
