There remains considerable uncertainty in the track and intensity of an anticipated coastal storm from Wednesday afternoon through early Thanksgiving morning, but confidence is increasing for a storm to bring accumulating snow to much of the region which would cause travel difficulty.  Details on amounts and timing will become more clear over the next twelve to twenty four hours.  Keep up to date on the forecast.

Natural gas leak prompts evacuations near school

WATERVLIET -- Homes and businesses near the Watervliet Elementary School were evacuated around 8:15 a.m. today after a construction crew pierced a natural gas line.
According to National Grid, they have shut the gas off and are working on repairing the 2 inch ruptured line that's located near the school on 10th Avenue off of 25th Street.
Repairs should be completed sometime this afternoon.
