Snow and Gusty Wind Today - Poor Travel Conditions Expected

A Nor'easter  is expected to impact the region today, but the impact around the Capital Region looks to be on the lighter side, as the storm takes a more Easterly track. Snow will become steadier from SE to NW this morning, with snowfall of varying intensity through this afternoon and evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 15-20 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions at times through late tonight. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 2-6" are expected, with higher amounts across western New England.

Chefs participate in Chili Cook-off for Charity

ALBANY -- Staff members of the Greater Capital Region Autism Society put their chili up against five area chefs on Thursday, all in the name of charity.
Chefs from The Hungry Fish Cafe, Shaker Shed Farms, The End Zone Sports Pub, Faldoni's, and Mazzone Hospitality took part in the event.  Customers took part in a blind taste test of all the different kinds of chili and voted for their favorite for a minimum donation of $2, and New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Albany matched each donation.
More than $1,000 was raised, and this year's champion was from The End Zone Sports Pub in Mechanicville.
